Baby, Baby…

January 29, 2008

What a wonderful way to start off 2008 than a precious 5 day old newborn shoot! The great thing about taking pictures of a newborn, is you don’t have to worry about eye contact (or lack there of). Oh, or them running away from you. He was my captive. Since his mommy and I have created the announcements, I can post some of the pictures that will not be featured on the card. I give you Mr. Kole:

Not doing so well…

January 20, 2008

as far as my resolution to keep this thing updated. Sorry! I’ve been BUSY. AND the stress has had me a little under the weather… so…. First, I got to start out the New Year with a NEW BORN session for sweet little Kole. I will post some pics as soon (It’s only fair that the Mom gets to see them before the rest of the world… Sorry). Also there is something REALLY BIG in store for Mi-Lo that I have been working on, so stay tuned! For now, a winter rose…

Jealous …

January 8, 2008

Today I seriously feel beat down. I am so tired. And I will go ahead and say it for those who know me and are thinking it… “Well if you went to bed at a decent hour.. yada yada yada…” Today was one of those day where I would have given anything to be out of the office ( my real job as an accountant) and behind the camera or editing pictures or anything to do with photography. I get these yearning to create, and that makes me useless for the rest of the day as far as reconciliation, accruals, JE’s, and any other accounting (a.k.a. non-photography related) matter goes. When I grow up… dang it, I’m already well on my way to “grown up”. OK, I’m done whining, for now anyways :-)

So, since NOTHING was open on New Years Day, and football doesn’t give me that warm and fuzzy feeling all over, the Scarb’s and I headed out to to the Dallas World Aquarium. If you haven’t been, and your in the area, you’ve gotta go!! They are a lot cheaper than they were a year or so ago. It’s like an indoor zoo. There is a lot more than just fish in there. And they have an awesome shark tunnel where the shark swim over and all around you. So much fun, and the kids were really diggin it. Here is a sloth…
Isn’t he cute!! God made this creature with no motivation to do anything other than chill in a tree. (Hence the title of this post) He had no fence around him, I mean where is he going to go. He’s a SLOTH. There was a zoo keeper there to make sure no one bothered him, and there where several signs that read “Do Not Touch The Sloth” Aparently people feel the need to see if he is real or something. I wanted to touch him.

OK… sleepy time :-)

she can barely contain herself……

My own cleverness humors me on numerous levels (if you don’t get it, or are unfamiliar with Champagnes, email me and i will fill you in on my “dry” humor….) Anywho, this statement speaks volumes about me. HAHAHAHA I want to thank the Scarbs for their gift…

And this is my new siggy for mi-lo, the M and the L are my actual handwritting

1 mile unaccounted for…

So along with my awesome gift, I also received this:

This is to help with several of my New Year’s resolution…

New Year’s Resolution: Run 350 miles in 2008

So when I got home today, Craig and I hit the road. I was excited to see my run on my personal nikeplus.com, but instead I saw nothing. :-( I forgot to start it, so all that work for nothing. I guess I will try again tomorrow. All that for nothing! I am running the Cowtown in February. If anyone out there would like to join team Mi-Lo for the 5K just let me know. I have some serious progress to make before then.
